SUMMARY
The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training plus First Aid/CPR/AED course prepares students to care for children and infants safely and confidently.
It includes hands-on activities videos and discussions to develop essential real-life readiness babysitting skills. The course covers feeding diapering picking up and holding children safety and emergency response.
We want to prepare participants well for emergencies but CPR can be physically demanding and participants should ideally weigh at least 85-90 pounds to participate in this portion of the course.
Successful completion awards a 10-year Babysitter’s Training certificate and a 2-year Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.
NOTE:
The duration of this course depends on a lot of factors such as class size, physical ability of the students, the students ability to grasp and maintain information.
It has been our experience that due to us limiting the class size along with allowing the students to eat, drink and use the rest room that it typically takes about 4 hours to cover all Babysitter’s Training with videos. We will cover various material such as.

▪ Bottle and Spoon Feeding along with Burping an infant

▪ Life threatening bleeding
